The Executive Supervisor of Junior Eurovision, Vladislav Yakovlev, has just confirmed that the final list of countries taking part at this year’s edition will be released by the end of September!
15 countries have officially confirmed participation until the date:
- Albania
- Malta
- Georgia
- Serbia
- Italy
- Bulgaria
- Ukraine
- Russia
- Belarus
- Montenegro
- FYR Macedonia
- Ireland
- Slovenia
- The Netherlands
- Armenia
The deadline for participating countries was firstly set by the end of August. However, the organizers are still negotiating with some countries to join the competition which will take place on November 21 in Sofia (Bulgaria).
“We now have 15 countries confirmed for this year’s Junior Eurovision. Last year we were able to confirm 16 at the end of September, so we are aiming to reach at least the same number before the same date this year. I know everyone, especially the fans of the show, are very excited about more news, but please stay patient – we’ll let you know as soon as we have some!”, stated Vladislav Yakovlev a few days ago, after the confirmation of Serbia.
