Junior Eurovision: EBU presents new and unique trophy design

The European Broadcasting Union has presented a brand new trophy that will be used in every Junior Eurovision edition from now on. Designer Kjell Engman of Kosta Boda has been inspired by the sound of music.

“The whole microphone is supposed to be in clear glass with color lines inside the upper part of the microphone. These color lines symbolize sound streams that flows. It’s also these colors we think you can let your fans vote about,” said Kjell.

About the Designer:

Designer Kjell Engman (1946) of Kosta Boda has worked as a glass artist for thirty years. Recently, he has focused on art glass and his creations can be found in exhibitions around the world.

Kjell Engman gets his inspiration from the most diverse sources, not least from the animal kingdom and the world of music and entertainment. He often works on large installations in which he also combines elements of sound and light.
