BTRC will hold live auditions to select the finalists of the Belarusian national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Today is the last day for candidates to send their applications to the broadcaster.
As in previous years, the Belarusian broadcaster will select their finalists through internal live auditions that will be held on 6 July at noon (local time) in the BTRC’s headquarters. A professional jury panel will choose from 7 to 10 contenders for the final live show that will be held no later than 15 September. The winner will be selected by a 50/50 mix of a jury panel and public audience voting.
Helena Meraai represented Belarus at Junior Eurovision 2017 with the song ‘I Am The One’, she achieved a 5th place. The country has won the competition twice, in 2005 and 2007, and remains one of the most successful countries in the history of the contest. This year they will host Junior Eurovision in Minsk for the second time.
