Eurovision Eurovision 2019 Cyprus

It’s official! Tamta to sing for Cyprus at Eurovision 2019

We can finally share an update that will strengthen up your day! Georgian-Greek singer Tamta will perform behind the island’s name in Tel Aviv!

Early today as we woke up, CYBC gifted us with some fresh news regarding their 2019 Eurovision entry for Tel Aviv: now it becomes official that Georgian-Greek singer Tamta Goduadze will represent the nation in Israel.

Not stranger for us that Greek-Swedish composer Alex P (Alex Papaconstinou) is behind “Replay“, the track that she will perform on stage in May as Sacha Jean Baptiste will be in charge of the staging for the 4th year in-a-row. It is all about a very successful recipe, but if that works, why should they get rid of them? both Alex and Sascha were working for Eleni Foureira’s Fuego at Eurovision 2017.

The news had already spread out during the past few days as the singer was already appointed to be in talks with the broadcaster, but at any point when that was revealed, she had not been able to listen to the song yet but now it seems more than clear Tamta felt in love with it.

It is not that first time the singer is involved at Eurovision, she entered the Greek finals back in 2017 and came in third place. In 2015, she was about to enter the national final with one of her most successful tracks among the Eurovision fans, “Unloved“, due to schedule prompts she was later replaced by Maria Elena Kyriakou who finally went on to represent the country in Vienna.

How much do you like Tamta? Do you think Cyprus will shine brightly in Tel Aviv as they did last year? Stay tuned for further news on Cyprus 2019 Eurovision participation!
