Italy: Sanremo Giovani reveals its 24 finalists

Sanremo Giovani continues its search for emerging talent in Italy as part of the prelude to the annual Sanremo festival.

Sanremo Giovani is an opportunity for lesser known artists to be part of the festival.  Through its selection process this month the hopefuls have been reduced to 24 from 63.  The final of Sanremo Giovani will take place on the 20th and 21st of December with the winner going on the Sanremo festival in February.

Today, RAI published the list of finalists that will compete for a place in Sanremo 2019 over two evenings on December 20 and 21.  The list is as follows:

Andrea Biagioni – Alba piena
Cannella – Nei miei ricordi
Cordio – La nostra vita
Deschema – Cristallo
Diego Conti – 3 gradi
Einar Ortiz – Centomila volte
Federica Abbate – Finalmente
Fedrix&Flow – L’impresa
Fosco17 – Dicembre
Francesca Miola – Amarsi non serve
Giulia Mutti – Almeno tre
La Rua – Alla mia età si vola
La Zero – Nina è brava
Laura Ciriaco – L’inizio
Le Ore – La mia felpa è come me
Mahmood – Gioventù bruciata
Marte Marasco – Nella mia testa
Mescalina – Chiamami amore adesso
Nyvinne – Io ti penso
Roberto Saita – Niwrad
Ros – Incendio
Sisma – Slow motion
Symo – Paura di amare
Wepro – Stop/Replay

While it will be a tall order for the winner of this Sanremo Giovani to be the ultimate winner of the 2019 Sanremo festival, there are artists to watch here and a very promising outlook for talent in Italy.  What do you think of the songs?  Will you be rooting for anyone to advance?
