Italy: San Remo 2015 participants revealed!

The 20 participants of San Remo 2015 and candidates to represent Italy at Eurovision 2015 have just been revealed:

1. ANNALISA – Una finestra tra le stelle
2. MALIKA AYANE – Adesso è qui
3. MARCO MASINI – Che giorno è
4. CHIARA – Straordinario
5. GIANLUCA GRIGNANI – Sogni infranti
6. NEK – Fatti avanti amore
7. NINA ZILLI – Sola
8. DEAR JACK – Il mondo esplode
9. ALEX BRITTI – Un attimo importante
10. BIGGIO e MANDELLI (“I Soliti Idioti”) – Vita d’inferno
11. MORENO – Oggi ti parlo così
12. BIANCA ATZEI – Il solo al mondo
13. RAF – Come una favola
14. LARA FABIAN – Voce
15. GRAZIA DI MICHELE e MAURO CORUZZI (Platinette) – Io sono una finestra
16. IL VOLO – Grande amore
17. ANNA TATANGELO – Libera
18. NESLI – Buona fortuna amore
19. IRENE GRANDI – Un vento senza nome
20. LORENZO FRAGOLA – Siamo uguali

The candidates have been selected internally by a professional team headed by Carlo Conti whose members were Giovanni Allevi, Tanque de Rocco , Carolina Di Domenico , Pinuccio Pirazzoli , Claudio Fasulo and Ivana Sabatini.

Among the 20 candidates, there are some familiar names: Nina Zilli represented Italy at Eurovision 2012 with the song “L’Amore è Femmina”; Raf represented Italy at Eurovision 1987 in a duet with Umberto Tozzi, they performed “Gente di Mare” and Lara Fabian represented Luxembourg at Eurovision 1988 with the song “Croire”.

The winner of San Remo will receive the proposal to represent Italy at Eurovision 2014 in Vienna but, if the invitation is declined, another San Remo candidate will be internally selected.

San Remo 2015 will start the 10th of February with the Grand Final taking place on Saturday 14.
