Israel opens song submissions for Junior Eurovision 2018

KAN has just announced an open call for songs for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Yesterday Israel selected Noam Dadon for Minsk during a national final that featured cover songs, so it’s time to give him an original song!

Composers and producers can send their originals from now until the 12th of September at 11.00 CET. The tracks must meet the requirements listed below:

  • Songs shall have a duration of up to 3.00 minutes.
  • Songs must be written in the Hebrew language.
  • Songs made public before May 1, 2018, aren’t allowed.
  • The message of the lyrics mustn’t include political content, unacceptable language, promotional words or racist gestures.

The candidates have to send an e-mail to [email protected] attaching the song in MP3 format and lyrics, without mentioning the authors, CV of the composers, document signed by all the authors. For further information, you can either contact KAN to the e-mail address specified before or read the official set of rules here.

An expert committee will listen to all the candidate songs without knowing the composers’ identity and will select the one that the young singer Noam Dadon will perform for Israel on November 25.
