According to eurofestivalnews, RAI could have taken a decision regarding their participation at Junior Eurovision 2015!

The Italian web-site reports that the Junior Eurovision 2014 winning country will be in Bulgaria. Moreover, they confirm the selection procedure RAI will be using for this year’s edition which is no other than “Ti Lascio Una Canzone”. This Italian talent show was already used to select internally Vincenzo Cantiello for Junior Eurovision as one of the participants of the 2014 edition. According to the mentioned website, the first episode, which will take place on September 12, will be devoted to select the Italian representative among former participants of the show up to 16 years.

The fact is that some former participants and guests of “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” have been recently involved into the Eurovision panorama. The Italian representatives at Eurovision 2015 “Il Volo” met and became a trio during their participation at “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” 2009. The director and creator of the show put them together, with the purpose to create a trio similar to “The Three Tenors”.

The Sammarinese representative at Junior Eurovision 2013 and Eurovision 2015 Michele Perniola was the winner of the sixth edition of the contest in 2012 and the last year’s Maltese representative Federica Falzon became the winner of the seventh edition in a duet with the Italian tenor Vincenzo Carni. The Junior Eurovision 2013 winner Gaia Cauchi was also guest of the show back in 2011.

Reliable sources close to RAI have confirmed to ESC+Plus.com that this new is still a rumour but most likely to be true, that would mean Italy will be finally taking part, with RAI Gulp channel, despite the rumours that reported they would withdraw.

Italy made its debut at Junior Eurovision 2014 getting the gold trophy with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu Primo Grande Amore”.
