The Icelandic broadcaster RUV has confirmed to ESC+Plus they will not be joining this year’s Junior Eurovision to take place in Sofia.
A total of eight countries have already confirmed participation with five of them having signed the necessary papers to take part in the competition. Some countries have already launched national selections like Malta, Belarus, The Netherlands and Ireland. Moreover, the first artist to perform in Sofia was chosen last week, Mishela Rapo will represent Albania with the song “Dambaje”.
More countries are expected to confirm participation in the coming weeks, including some unexpected ones and more surprises.

I’m not sure if all these “no” articles help to increase the JESC vibe. 🙂 These countries weren’t actually expected to join in the first place. 😛
