Tonight Iceland will continue with their search for their 2022 representative for Turin, Italy. Last week, 2 acts continued on to the Grand National Final of Iceland, and this week 2 others will as well. And the professional jury will give one of the contestants of the Semi-finals a wildcard to continue on. Get ready for lots of Icelandic excitement coming our way!
The format
The format of the Icelandic national final is the following:
- 2 Semi-finals (February 26th and March 5th 2022) and 1 Grand Final (March 12th 2022).
- In both Semi-finals 5 acts will compete of which 2 progress to the Grand Final of Iceland.
- Both of the Semi-finals will have a 100% televote system.
- The Grand Final will eventually have 2 rounds, thus also 2 rounds of voting: One with 50% jury votes and 50% televote, and a second one with 100% televoting.
- A special jury has the option to give one of the non-qualifiers of the Semi-finals a wildcard.

Eurovision Song Contest 2022
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 10th (Semi-final 1), 12th (Semi-final 2), and on the 14th (Grand Final) in Turin, Italy.
