Tonight, the country’s broadcaster Duna TV just kicked off the race on their Eurovision 2019 act search, take a look at the first six acts going through to the semi-finals!
10 acts competed to get one of the six spots available in the semi-finals of this year’s A Dal, the Hungarian national selection contest for the Eurovision Song Contest. After the combination of the votes from the so-called panel and public vote, five made it through automatically to the next round, the remaining act was chosen afterwards during a second voting round where the televote had the ultimate say.
A DAL 2019 FIRST HEAT RESULTS
The five acts selected to proceed as a result of the first round of voting were:

- Gergő Oláh – Hozzád bújnék
- Gergő Szekér – Madár, repülj!
- TÃmea Antal ft. GergÅ‘Â Demko – Kedves Világ!
- Konyha – Százszor visszajátszott
- Nomad – A remény hÃdjai
This quintet was joined, after the second round of voting, by:
- DENIZ – Ide várnak vissza
30 candidates are competing in A Dal 2019 over six weeks of live shows which started this weekend. The 2019 Hungarian national selection will go on with the second round next week. Then in the following weeks, another heat as well as two semifinals and the final on February 23 will be held in order to find the country’s representative in Tel Aviv.
