Hungarian broadcaster MTVA has announced that “A Dal” will once again be used as a national selection to chose the Hungarian representative for Eurovision 2014, and has started searching for songs.
“A Dal” has with great success been the Hungarian selection method for the last 2 years, resulting in Hungary reaching the Eurovision final both times, and has also delivered quite a few hits to the Hungarian charts, which is why MTVA has decided to once again find the singer and song who will compete for Hungary at the Eurovision 2014 in Copenhagen, this way.
Two semifinals and a final will be broadcast, with a combination of jury and televotes deciding the results. No dates has yet been finalized, but it is expected that the shows will take place in the beginning of next year.
To send in a composition to “A Dal 2014” , you must send it in on a cd, along with an application form before midnight on December 1st to this adress:
MTVA
1037 Budapest, Kunigunda útja 64.
If interested you can read the rules (in Hungarian), as well as download the application form here.
Last year in Malmö, Hungary was represented by ByeAlex, who reached an impressive 10th place with “Kedvesem”
