Frida Gold, one of the contestants of the German national final, “Unser Lied für Liverpool”, has fallen ill, and because of this she missed out on the second rehearsal, which subsequently meant she misses out on the jury show.
Frida Gold will not be performing in the jury show
Because of being ill Frida Gold will not be performing in the jury show of the German national final, as the German national broadcaster, NDR, announced. The jury of this year’s German national final will watch a video of the first rehearsal to score Frida’s performance.
Unser Lied für Liverpool
The German national final, also known as “Unser Lied für Liverpool”, will see a total of 10 contestants compete for the crown and the golden ticket to represent Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

The winner of the German national final will be chosen by 50% public voting and 50% professional jury voting. The public vote takes place online, by calling or texting. The professional jury consists out of 8 members, which come from different countries: Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Spain, Lithuania, Ukraine, Austria, and the United Kingdom.
