France starts open search for Eurovision 2018

France 2 has revealed their plans to select entrant for the next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The French broadcaster has launched an open call for songs under a new selection procedure, whose further details haven’t been revealed yet.

The broadcaster is determined to go big after the successful results achieved by Amir and Alma in the last two Eurovision competitions. This year, however, they want all singers to have the chance to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Portugal, so they have open submissions for everyone.

All interested singers and composers must send their applications from now by filling the form available on this link. The broadcaster has also listed a few rules that must be followed by the candidates. It’s interesting to highlight that all songs must include 70% of the lyrics in French.
