Eurovision: (Re)discover legendary Eurovision stars during “Amsterdam Calling 2024”!

As we sometimes tend to forget, “Eurovision is (music) history”, and let’s be honest, there would be no Loreen (Swedish winner 2012 and 2023) without Lys Asia (first winner of Eurovision ever in 1956). In Amsterdam, the day before “Eurovision in Concert”, there is always the nostalgic Eurovision concert and party, “Amsterdam Calling!”, organized by the Dutch OGAE, and this year is no exception…

Amsterdam Calling 2024

For everyone who is a true fan of the Eurovision Song Contest there is the annual concert and party, “Amsterdam Calling!”, that is always full of legendary Eurovision stars, so for people who truly want to have a Eurovision experience, this is the place to be in Amsterdam, the day before the biggest annual Eurovision concert and party, “Eurovision in Concert”. Both events are being organized in the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam; Amsterdam Calling in De Melkweg venue and Eurovision in Concert in the AFAS Live venue.

Amsterdam Calling always consists of two parts: One is a concert with a great diversity of epic Eurovision stars and the other a party full of Eurovision hits.

This year’s Eurovision stars of Amsterdam Calling

Each and every year truly legendary Eurovision stars take the stage during Amsterdam Calling, and this year is no exception, below you can find the 2024 line-up. All stars will sing their Eurovision entry and their choice of Eurovision songs.

  • Anna Bergendahl: Sweden – This Is My Life (2010)
  • Ott Lepland: Estonia – Kuula (2012)
  •  Laura Põldvere: Estonia – Let’s Get Loud (2005, as part of the girl group Suntribe), and Verona (2017, together with Koit Toome)
  • Chiara: Malta – The One That I Love (1998), Angel (2005), and What If We (2009)
  • Victor Crone: Estonia – Storm (2019)
  • Caren Wood: the Netherlands – Ik Wil Alles Met Je Delen (1990)
  • Victoria Georgieva: Bulgaria – Tears Getting Sober (2020, cancelled contest), and Growing Up is Getting Old (2021)
  • Susanna Guerra: Portugal – Quero ser tua (2014)
  • Lucia Pérez: Spain – Que me quiten lo bailao (2011)

Amsterdam Calling: The Party

When you go to Amsterdam Calling you also get treated to a huge Eurovision party right after the concert. Listen and dance to many Eurovision songs played by resident Amsterdam Calling disc jockey, DJ First Rank.
