Eurovision 2025: Semi-Final Running Order Revealed

With less than two months to go until the grand musical celebration in Basel, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster SRG SSR have unveiled the official running order for the two semi-finals of Eurovision 2025. The semi-finals will take place on Tuesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 15, at the St. Jakobshalle.

From these two rounds, 20 finalists (10 per semi-final) will advance to the Grand Final on May 17, where a total of 26 countries will compete for the coveted Crystal Microphone.

As always, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom – the Big 5 – along with host nation Switzerland, are automatically qualified for the Grand Final and do not need to compete in the semi-finals. However, following the success of 2024, the pre-qualified finalists will perform live during the semi-finals in Basel 2025.

How Was the Running Order Decided?

Once all competing entries were confirmed, the Eurovision production team determined the final running order to ensure an exciting and dynamic show for the audience. The sequence was based on the semi-final allocation draw held on January 28, which decided in which half each country would perform.
