Eurovision 2025 has officially begun in Basel, Switzerland, and the excitement is already through the roof. The first semi-final, held on Tuesday, 13 May, at the iconic St. Jakobshalle, showcased 15 countries battling it out for just 10 spots in the Grand Final on Saturday, 17 May.
From dramatic ballads to high-energy bangers, each act gave it their all to win over the audience – who held exclusive power over the results.

These are the ten countries that secured their place in the Grand Final, revealed in a random order:

❌ Who Missed Out?
Despite strong performances, the following countries did not make it through:

🌍 Global Voting & Big Five Participation
As with recent editions, the outcome of the semi-final was entirely decided by the public, with no jury input. Viewers from Spain, Italy, and Switzerland — the latter being this year’s host — were eligible to vote, as their countries were pre-qualified for the final.
Also, fans from non-participating countries around the world were able to cast their votes via ESC.vote, for a fixed fee of €0.99 per vote. These global votes were counted as one collective entry.

For now, only the list of ten qualifiers has been disclosed — in a random order, with no points or rankings shared. The full breakdown of results, including individual points, will be published by the EBU after the Grand Final.
