The national British broadcaster, BBC, has announced that it has commissioned several Eurovision-infused programs over New Year 2023 to celebrate that the United Kingdom is about to host the biggest music contest of the world in Liverpool, while partnering with the most recent winner Ukraine.

Sam Ryder’s All Star New Year’s Eve

First up will be “Sam Ryder’s All Star New Year’s Eve”, which was recorded in November 2022. This program is a concert that is all about the UK’s 2022 representative, Sam Ryder, who came in second in this year’s song contest with the song “Space Man”.

Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2022

Sam Ryder’s show is followed by a registration of “Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2022” (trans. “The Big Eurovision Party 2022”), which was held on November 17th 2022 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This annual concert is all about Eurovision, from legends of Eurovision’s past, but also recent entrants. Next to the concert, the program also entails backstage footage that was made by the BBC, and is hosted by British presenter, Rylan Clark.
