UPDATE: “Europond” to represent Greece as “Argo”!
According to newsit.gr and the reporter Grigoris Melas the group that will represent Greece in Eurovision 2016 is Europond. Ithikon Akmeotaton & Salina or Sleeping Pillow would be the ones that would represent Greece in Stockholm but apparently they were only rumors.
As mentioned before, the song is going to be an ethnic composition, very happy and energetic, showing Greece’s bright side but also referring to the economic crisis and the refugees’ situation. What was revealed today is that the song will be performed in Pontic Greek! The song will be published sometime in the next few days so stay tuned!
