Eurojury: FYR Macedonia Calling

From Moldova we head to FYR Macedonia. FYR Macedonia this year are represented by Daniel Kajmakoski and his song “Autumn Leaves”, FYR Macedonia are aiming to make it into their first final since 2012.

FYR Macedonia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 after failing to make it through to the final in 1996. In 1998 they were represented by Vlado Janevski with the song “Ne zori, zoro”. Macedonia’s best result came at the 2006 contest in Athens, where Elena Risteska performed “Ninanajna” it finished in 12th place in the final with 56 points.

On the FYR Macedonian Eurojury today are three artists, they are:

  • Anja Veterov – Represented FYR Macedonia at Junior Eurovision 2010 with the song “Eooo, Eooo” she finished 12th in Minsk with 38 points.
  • Elena Risteska – Represented FYR Macedonia in 2006, she also wrote the 2014 Macedonian entry “To The Sky”.
  • Evgenija Čančalova – Participated in Skopje Festival 2014 with the song “Da ne te sakam” and finished 3rd with 18 points.

Here are the results of the Macedonian vote:

  1. Australia – 12 points
  2. Albania – 10 points
  3. Sweden – 8 points
  4. Latvia – 7 points
  5. Italy – 6 points
  6. United Kingdom – 5 points
  7. Iceland – 4 points
  8. Serbia – 3 points
  9. Azerbaijan – 2 points
  10. Slovenia – 1 point

So that leaves the top 10 as:

  1. Australia – 144 points
  2. Italy – 129 points
  3. Sweden – 110 points
  4. Russia – 85 points
  5. Albania – 80 points
