Czechia at Eurovision
Czechia made its Eurovision debut in 2007, distinguishing itself from neighboring countries like Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia, which entered in 1994. Despite an initial last-place finish in Helsinki, Czechia achieved its first Grand Final qualification in 2016 after returning in 2015.
While experiencing some lackluster years, Czechia reached a peak in 2018 with Mikolas Joseph’s “Lie to Me,” securing an impressive 6th place in Lisbon with 281 points. After an exceptional preselection in 2022, Czechia faced disappointment with a 22nd-place finish. In 2023, the all-female group Vesna, chosen in the ESCZ final, secured 10th place in the Grand Final with “My Sister’s Crown.”
