Since last week, it was no longer a secret he had won the international jury vote!
The Czech online national selection process for Eurovision 2018, Eurovision Song CZ, has reached its end with a hot fan-favourite finally taking the ticket to Lisbon: Mikolas Josef will sing “Lie To Me” in front of the massive European audience in May!
This 22-year-old young and promising star gained the favour and affection of the Czech online users and the international jury panel approached by Česká Televizie due to his radio-friendly jazzy/pop track “Lie To Me” over the remaining five competitors:
- Debbi – “High On Love”
- Doctor Victor – “Stand Up”
- Eddie Stoilow – “We Rule This World”
- Eva Burešová – “Fly”
- Pavel Callta – “Never Forget”
The panel was made up of international music and TV professional:
- Dami Im – represented Australia in the 2016 Contest
- Robin Bengtsson – represented Sweden in the 2017 Contest
- NAVI BAND – represented Belarus in the 2017 Contest
- Sunstroke Project – represented Moldova in the 2017 Contest
- Sanja Vučić – represented Serbia in the 2016 Contest
- Jalisse – represented Italy in the 1997 Contest
- Iveta Mukuchyan – represented Armenia in the 2016 Contest
- Nathan Trent – represented Austria in the 2017 Contest
- Norma John – represented Finland in the 2017 Contest
- Liora Simon – represented Israel in the 1995 Contest
Will this run Gabriela’s luck in the contest and get to qualify for the Grand Final? Or is this will be a 6th time missing? We do hope things turn out to be really positive for the Czech Republic in Lisbon!
