Bosnia & Hezegovina to return to Eurovision!

All the eurofans have received an a very awaited new today! Bosnia & Herzegovia will return to the Eurovision Song Contest this year as confirmed by the Bosnian national broadcaster to ESCToday.com. The BHRT has submitted a preliminary application to the EBU for participating at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Vienna next May. Like all other countries that apply for participation at the Eurovision 2015, Bosnia & Herzegovina has a month’s grace to decide if they want to stay in the contest or withdraw without a penalty.

It is likely that the entry will be chosen internally as  has been the recent years.

Bosnia and Herzegovian withdrew to the contest in 2013 due to financial reasons. Last year the country made and application for taking part in the 59th Eurovision Song Contest, however it was just a mirage because the BHRT opted to not participate in the show due to lack of funds and sponsors.

The last entry which represented the Balkan country was ”Korake ti znam” by Maya Sar, who also was backing vocalist for Dino Merlin the preceding year in Düsseldorf. She progressed from the second semi-final into the final where she finished in 18th place with 55 points.

Bosnia & Herzegovina is one of the few countries that have pass through to the final, being its best result in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with Hari Mata Hari who finished 3rd with the song ”Lejla”.
