The staging of “Because of You”

The staging of Gustaph’s song, “Because of You”, will be different from the Belgian national final one. There will be more interaction between Gustaph and his backing-vocals; next to this, the stairs will not be on-stage anymore. There will be revised visuals in the background, and there will be three backing-vocals, instead of two. The third backing-vocal will be Sandrine, one of Belgium’s most-recognizable faces in music and television; Sandrine competed in the Belgian national final herself in 2008, with the song “I Feel the Same Way”, but she did not make it into the contest at the time. Overall, the performance of Belgium’s Gustaph will be more dynamic than during the national final.

About Gustaph

Gustaph was selected at the end of 2022 through a televised Belgian national final, called “Eurosong 2023”. Gustaph did not manage to get the most votes from the public, but also not from the professional jury, he did however get enough points to be victorious. In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Gustaph will sing the song, “Because of You”, representing Belgium.

Eurovision 2023

Belgium’s Gustaph will perform 5th (of 16) in the second Semi-final on May 11th 2023.
