Azerbaijan: Casting 2014 starts

Azerbaijani broadcaster Ictimai will choose the national qualifier for Eurovision in a new format in 2014.

ITV is going to launch the main vocal program of 2014 ‘Big stage’ in January. As part of the project, the best vocalists of Azerbaijan will compete for seven weeks for the right to represent the country at Eurovision 2014 to take place in Denmark.

“Big Stage” is a new international music project on air in Azerbaijan, and the best vocalists of the country who have great desire and courage  to represent Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014  can compete for a possibility to show their talent in this project “Big Stage” has not only provided a unique opportunity for young talents to show their vocal talents and ignite their star on professional stage.
The team of “Big Stage” will be look for such kind of talents
Castings will be held in 8 cities:
9 January  – Sumgait, Ganja
10 January – Lankaran, Yevlakh
11 January – Shirvan, Sheki
12 January – Guba
13 January – Baku

 

Participants who have aged to 16 can participate in “Big Stage”. For the castings it is possible to register on the “Big Stage” project anketa.boyuksehne.com.az website and you can  get detailed information about the date and venue.
Television premiere of “Big Stage” starts on İTV in January 2014.

“The program will present a bright show and give the viewers unforgettable feelings. Our objective is not only to choose the best vocalist for participation in Eurovision but also to offer a new entertaining format of the program of talents. Music and humor will become the main components of every program of the Big stage project and famous and popular hosts will be another pleasant surprise”, ITV general director Jamil Guliyev said, while commenting on the project.

This is the 6th participation of the land of fire at Eurovision which they won in 2011 with Ell & Nikki singing “Running Scared”.
