The Albanian Head of Delegation Kleart Duraj has confirmed to ESCplus that RTSH will be taking part at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The broadcaster will select their entry from the traditional Festivali i Këngës, which means Arilena Ara won’t be selected internally.
RTSH just confirmed participation in ESC 2021. FiK will be the national selection in case it will take place having in mind the situation with the pandemic., said Mr Duraj.
Submissions for FiK 59 will be open on 1st and 2nd October. Everyone willing to take part in the Albanian music festival shall send their original songs to [email protected] or bring them to the Radio Tirana Headquarters. All works must follow the rules published by RTSH:
Arilena Ara won the 58th edition of the Albanian music festival with the song “Shaj”, which she revamped for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. She was going to perform the English version of the track, called “Fall From The Sky”.
