Details about the Albanian staging

The composer of the song “Duje”, Eriona Rushiti, spoke about the song itself and the staging of the song during this year’s contest. There are several things that need to be take into account because this song is sung by an extensive group of people, and the message of the song needs to be conveyed well. The staging will be managed by Sascha Jean-Baptiste; together with Albina and her family she is looking at every detail of the performance, from the cameras up to the lights that are being used, and there will also be choreography.

Revamp of the song “Duje”

Eriona Rushiti, the composer of the song “Duje” also spoke about the revamp of the song, and why the revamp was done in Istanbul (Turkey). The reason for the revamp to be done in Istanbul is because Albina and her family had a chance to work together with a string orchestra and could use all sorts of different instruments to record the music for their song again. There is also the matter that Turkish culture and Albanian culture find each other halfway, which also means that there culture overlaps in music. Because of the revamp the song of Albina & Familja Kelmendi stayed true to the original with which they won the Albanian national final, but there are also more modern elements in the song right now.
