Ireland 2023: More details about Wild Youth’s staging

The band Wild Youth will represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023with the song “We Are One”. In an interview this band talked about their staging plans.

Staging of “We Are One”

In the interview with PA News Agency, the lead singer of Wild Youth, Conor O’Donohoe, said that the staging of “We Are One” will be both big and bold, and they will not be taking any shortcuts. Next to this, Conor is working on his physique, so that he is able to run up and down the grand Eurovision stage in May; he mentioned that he will not be going to Mc Donald’s for a while. Conor also mentioned that he wanted the song of the band to be enormous, and that it would be arena-ready.

About the band Wild Youth

The band Wild Youth came together in 2016. The band consists of four members: David Whelan (vocals/guitar), Conor O’Donohoe (keyboards/vocals), Ed Porter (guitar/vocals) and Callum McAdam (drums). Wild Youth was chosen to be Ireland’s representatives in a televised national final with the name “Eurosong 2023”. The band got the maximum number of points from both the jury as the public, and now they are on the road to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpoool, United Kingdom.

Ireland’s Wild Youth will perform 6th (of 15) in Semi-final 1 on May 9th 2023.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
