Eurovision Eurovision 2026

The breakdown of scores for the Eurovision 2026 semifinals has been revealed: Israel and Bulgaria won their respective semifinals

The EBU has published the detailed results of the Eurovision Song Contest semifinals, which culminated in Vienna with its 70th edition

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 comes to an end. The 70th edition of the European contest held its decisive night with a Grand Final in which 25 countries competed for victory. This Saturday, May 16, from 21:00 CEST, the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna welcomed the contenders for the crystal microphone.

However, only one entry succeeded. Bulgaria, with DARA and her song «Bangaranga», won the contest after receiving the majority support of the national juries and the public vote from Europe and the rest of the world. The Top 5 was completed by Israel, Romania, Australia, and Italy.

After this 70th edition, as usual, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU-UER) has published the full and detailed results of the voting through its official website. In this way, the organization provides all the details of the voting process along with the complete breakdown of each national jury ranking and the televote.

Despite reaching its 70th anniversary, the European contest took place in a climate of unprecedented tension and protests. Israel’s presence in the competition led to the largest boycott in its history, with the withdrawal of five countries (Slovenia, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, and the Netherlands) after refusing to share the stage with the Israeli representative.

First semifinal (Tuesday, May 12)

The first semifinal featured 15 entries that took to the Eurovision stage to defend their songs and convince both the public and the jury, with the goal of securing a place in the Grand Final. The participating countries in this heat were: Moldova, Sweden, Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Georgia, Finland, Montenegro, Estonia, Israel, Belgium, Lithuania, San Marino, Poland, and Serbia.

In this edition, Poland was the jury favorite, while Israel once again dominated the televote. In the overall tally, the Israeli entry finished in first place. Interestingly, Belgium and Sweden would not have qualified if only the public vote had counted, as was the case until 2025. Meanwhile, Estonia and Montenegro would have qualified.

Second semifinal (Thursday, May 14)

The second semifinal featured the remaining 15 entries that also tried to convince both the public and the jury to secure one of the 10 available spots. The participating countries in this heat were: Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Romania, Luxembourg, Czechia, Armenia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Latvia, Denmark, Australia, Ukraine, Albania, Malta, and Norway.

In this heat, Australia was the jury’s favorite entry, while Bulgaria was the most voted by the public, also becoming the winner of the semifinal. In this case, Czechia would not have qualified for the Grand Final based solely on the televote, as was the case until 2025. Its place would have gone to Switzerland.
