7 Czech finalists revealed

CT has revealed the list of candidates that will compete in the final stage of the Czech national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The winner will be revealed on February 3rd.

Almost a year ago, the Czech national broadcaster announced an open selection procedure to select their next hopeful for Eurovision. Unlike previous years, a live final was intended to be broadcast on TV, but that won’t happen because of several factors as stated by CT. So, This year the public will have a say based on official music videos and will decide 50% of the final outcome via the official Eurovision app.

152 songs were received by CT, from which 72 were written by Czech composers, but only seven will compete in the national final:

  • Olga Lounová
  • Barbora Mochowa
  • Ben Cristovao
  • Pam Rabbit
  • Karelll
  • Elis Mraz & ÄŒis T
  • We All Poop

The public will be able to listen to the songs and watch the music videos on January 20th at 08.00 CET, when the online voting will be open on the official Eurovision app. The winner will be determined by an equal combination of votes from the public online voting and a panel of international experts made up of ten members. CT will announce the Czech entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 on February 3rd.
