Maltese young star Christina Magrin catches attention of former Eurovision participants!

Christina Magrin, an eleven year old female Maltese singer/songwriter, enrolled at La Voix Academy under the watchful gaze of Gillian Attard (Mentor of Gaia Cauchi and Federica Falzon) and Claudia Magrin, has recently won the singers’ category of the Romanian show for young talents “Next Star”. The judges and audience in the studio rose to their feet after her brilliant rendition of the Eurovision 2012 sensation “Suus”.

After the performance, not only caught she the attention of millions of television viewers and over 400,000 viewers on Facebook, but also got recognition and went viral on Albanian media. Christina has a passion for foreign languages and has attracted attention from Serbian Marija Serifovic, Macedonian Kaliopi and Albanian Rona Nishliu who shown support through social networking websites, Facebook.

Following her success in both “Sanremo Junior Malta” and “Next Star”, Christina has also attracted the attention of foreign songwriters amongst which Rick Allison known for his success with Lara Fabian, Elisa Tovati, Sandrine Francois and Rick Hallyday as well as Florent Boshnjaku composer of the hit “Suus” who promised to compose a song which should be launched both locally and in the Balkans. His interest in Christina has been made public on major music websites.

At such a tender age, the female singer/songwriter is not only reaching certain heights, but is breaking borders and knocking on wood for more future success. Moreover, she is expected to take part at the national selection for Junior Eurovision 2015 MJESC where she will compete as one of the favourites to wave the Maltese flag in Bulgaria.
