Zibbz to fly the Swiss flag at Eurovision 2018

Switzerland has once more concluded their national selection process and now they have an act who will be representing them on the biggest music stage in the world: it is no other than Zibbz with the song “Stones“.

After an exciting national final tonight hosted by Swiss TV presenter Sven Epiney, which was preceded by internal auditions, SRG SSR with the help of all regional broadcasters selected the following six acts competing at tonight’s final, (winner in bold):

  1. Zibbz –  Stones
  2. Angie Ott – A thousand times
  3. Naeman – Kiss me
  4. Chiara Dubey – Secrets and lies
  5. Alejandro Reyes – Compass
  6. Vanessa Irazi – Redlights

The decision was in hands of the televoting and an expert panel on a 50% ratio each made up by professionals from: Albania (Kleart Duraj); Armenia (David Tserunyan); France (Edoardo Grassi); Germany (Christoph Pellander); Iceland (Gisli M. Baldursson); Israel (Tal Barnea) and Italy (Nicola Caligiore).

Timebelle, Swiss act in Kiev 2017, opened the show with a different version of their entry “Apollo”.

What do you think about the choice in Switzerland? Will this act get to make it through to the grand final on May 8th?

Stay tuned for the preparations regarding the Swiss entry in Lisbon!
