Naré is the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The 13-year-old singer from Yerevan gave Armenia its third victory in the children’s contest with «BOO!» on 24 October in Ta’ Qali (Malta), after topping the online vote. But who is the new Junior Eurovision champion?
Armenia wins Junior Eurovision 2026: Naré takes the crystal microphone with «BOO!»
Who is Naré?
Naré Kerobyan, known artistically as Naré, was born in Yerevan on 12 August 2013. She studies at the Ayb School and has been singing since the age of five, combining her schooling with training in singing, dance and acting. She also plays the piano.
She is the daughter of Vahan Kerobyan, businessman and former Minister of Economy of Armenia (2020–2024), and Mariam Harutyunyan, and she has three brothers: Avet, Samvel and Alexander. Among her influences are Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, as well as Armenian Eurovision artists Iveta Mukuchyan and Rosa Linn, and traditional Armenian music.
Fourth time lucky: her road to Junior Eurovision
Naré’s victory is also a story of persistence. She first tried to represent Armenia in 2022, and again in 2023, when, aged ten, she sang Alicia Keys’ «Fallin’» in the internal selection without reaching the next stage. On her fourth attempt, she was chosen by broadcaster AMPTV’s internal jury from more than 100 applicants.
What is «BOO!» about?
«BOO!» is an energetic, playful song in Armenian and English about childhood fears and how to face them through imagination and play, using the metaphor of hide-and-seek in a dark room. The music is by Lilit Navasardyan, who also co-wrote Armenia’s «Love» (2015) and «Brave Heart» (2025), and the lyrics are by Grigor Kyokchyan, co-writer of «Dance!» (2022). The music video was directed by Artur Manukyan.
Armenia’s third Junior Eurovision win
Armenia debuted at Junior Eurovision in 2007 and had already won twice: in 2010 with Vladimir Arzumanyan («Mama») and in 2021 with Maléna («Qami Qami»). It has also finished second five times, more than any other country. With Naré, Armenia now has three victories.
