In a radio show on BBC 2, the national British broadcaster, Graham Norton, one of this year’s contest presenters, and radio host Zoe Ball, have stated that the UK’s 2023 entrant is chosen.
Zoe Ball as well as Graham Norton said during the show that they did not hear the selected song yet, but also said that the artist representing the United Kingdom this year has accidently said the name of the song…
The entry of the UK
This year’s entry of the UK was a team effort together with TaP Music, a music producing company that the BBC selection commission has worked with before to select an entrant for their country.
At the end of January 2023 a statement was made public that 4 artists were still in the race to represent the United Kingdom in this year’s contest.
Eurovision 2023
We will see the 2023 entrant of the United Kingdom perform in the Grand Final on May 13th 2023, because the UK is one Of the Big Five countries, which means that this country does not have to compete in the Semi-finals, and immediately qualifies for the Grand Final.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
