Tonight: Lithuania selects Eurovision 2020 entry

Today Lithuania will select who will wave the country’s flag in Rotterdam. 8 candidates have reached the final of Pabandom iš Naujo! 2020, but only one will get the big prize.

The Lithuanian national selection has finally reached its final phase after five weeks of shows. 36 contenders have competed in the heats and semifinals of Pabandom iš Naujo! 2020 aimed to get a place at today’s live show, but only 8 of them selected by the public and the juries will perform in the final:

  • KaYra – Alligator
  • Rūta Loop – We Came from the Sun
  • The Roop – On Fire
  • Aistė Pilvelytė – Unbreakable
  • Meandi – Drip
  • Monika Marija – If I Leave
  • Monique – Make Me Human
  • The Backs – Fully

A professional jury panel made up of national and international music professionals, and the public will determine who will represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. In case of a tie, the jury decision will prevail.

Two prizes will be awarded to the winning entry. Not only the artist will win tonight, but also the authors of the song, who will be given 5.000 euros. However, 2.000 of them will be used for the promotion and improvement of the song.

At the show, the recently selected Latvian representative Samantha Tina will perform on stage live for her neighbours and the audience at home. Gabrielle Martirosian, Giedrius Masalskis and the 2018 Lithuanian entrant Ieva Zasimauskaitė will host the final at „Žalgirio“ Arena.
