From Portimão to Tel Aviv! Portugal is selecting their 2019 Eurovision entry today
From Portimão Arena in Portimão, Portuguese broadcaster RTP is ready to put us through an exciting show for the grand final of this year’s Festival Da Canção, which will see the eight finalists battle it out to be the act waving the country’s flag at the EXPO Tel Aviv on May 18. The appointment will see one of last year’s ESC hosts Filomena Cautela alongside Vasco Palmerim having the honour of presenting the event to the Portuguese viewers.
All eight contestants taking the stage tonight previously qualified from one of the two semifinals that were previously held during the last two weeks. The line-up, drawn by the producers, looks as it follows:
- Calema – A Dois
- Mariana Bragada – Mar Doce
- Matay – Perfeito
- Surma – Pugna
- NBC – Igual A Ti
- Madrepaz – Mundo a Mudar
- Conan Osíris – Telemóveis
- Ana Cláudia – Inercia
Lines have been open for the last few days and subsequently, the Portuguese public has been able to cast their vote up to tonight’s grand final. The hosts will close the televoting period after all the songs are performed on stage and the winner will be announced by combining the audience votes and the professional jury outcome.
The show will take place at 22:10 CET and you will have the possibility to watch it along with other national final shows on our Multi-Window live viewer.
You can still cast your votes at our official Festival Da Canção 2019 Grand Final poll and have a say on predicting its winner:
