Take a deep breath. Draw the curtains. Put that crime thriller down. Because tonight you need to focus your full attention on the final chapter of A Dal 2019
One more national selection in Europe comes to an end tonight and is ready to give us one more song for Israel. Eight acts are taking part in the drama – but only one will win the starring role and carry Hungary’s hopes to Tel Aviv in May.
The line-up for the final of A Dal 2019 is as follows:
- Acoustic Planet – Nyári zápor
- Bence Vavra – Szótlanság
- The Middletonz – Roses
- Fatal Error – Kulcs
- Joci Pápai – Az én apám
- Gergő Szekér – Madár, repülj!
- Bogi Nagy – Holnap
- Gergő Oláh – Hozzád bújnék
If you’ve followed ‘A Dal 2019‘ so far, you might know what an entertaining and enthralling competition it has surely been – with loads of variety, plenty of quality and just the right amount of stuff to make you scratch your head in mystification. So the omens are good that tonight’s really going to deliver a fantastic Final to savour. The fun starts at 19:30 CET and you will be able to tune in on our multi-window streaming platform.
Some things will be the same tonight: Bogi Dallos and ESC ‘old boy’ Freddie will play the hosts role; the regular jury of judges – Feró Nagy, Lilla Vincze, Miklós Both and Misi Mező – will be on hand to dissect the performances and inject just the right amount of fear into the proceedings.
Some things will be different, though: there’ll be two rounds of voting but, in the first, the jury will decide which four entries will advance to the second round. Each of the four jurors will announce all their scores after all the acts have performed, awarding four sets of marks: 4, 6, 8 and 10 (for their favourite act). The second round will then involve a public vote to select the victor.
I’d love to tell you who’s going to win, but I just don’t know! And even if I did, I’d be wrong! So you simply don’t have a choice. Turn it on. Tune in. Take it easy. And enjoy the evening!
