At 26 years of age Avicii has decided to tour no longer.
“I will however never let go of music – I will continue to speak to my fans through it, but I’ve decided this 2016 run will be my last tour and last shows. Let’s make them go out with a bang!” Avicii via Facebook.
You may remember, Tim Bergling aka Avicii composed “We Write the Story” with Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson from ABBA for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. So although Avicii is taking a break from DJ’ing on tour he may join the ranks with some of Sweden’s top notch producers and songwriters. Will he bring his talent to Melodifestivalen and bring the Eurovision Song Contest victory back to Sweden in 2018?
Don’t worry, if you still need your Tim B. fix check out his tour dates here. Avicii, a Stockholm native, will not be participating in the song contest this year. He has a residency in Las Vegas that will keep him out of the country.
He has made really fantastic songs <3
*Wake Me Up* must be the #1 all time best seller song in Sweden..
It sold over 500.000 copies there! 13 times platinum!
(Loreen's *Euphoria* is 9 times platinum having sold almost 400.000 copies)
The anthem of Malmo’s EuroVision *We Write The Story* was amazing song <3
I was even expecting Avicii to be the one that would make again the theme soundtrack song 4 this year's EuroVision in Stockholm..
Well he must feel 100% thankful 4 all the huge success he was meeting with his music the latest years..
2013 was his big #1 year definitely..
I think that eventually he will change his mind.
For him to completely stop the tours-shows when he is still only 26 years old & he has millions fans in the whole world makes me to think that 2016 will not be the END 4 him.
