Sweden: SVT reveals Melodifestivalen 2018 participants

SVT has just revealed the hopefuls that will compete at the next year’s Swedish show Melodifestivalen. Once again, the winner of this popular television format will represent Sweden at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.

Semi Final 1 – February 3rd (Löfbergs Arena in Karlstad)

  • John Lundvik – “My Turn”
  • Kikki Danielsson – “Osby Tennessee”

Semi-Final 2 – February 10th (Scandinavium in Gothenburg)

As in previous editions, Melodifestivalen 2018 will be made up of six shows, four Semi-Finals, a Second Chance Round and a Grand Final that will take place in Stockholm’s Friends Arena. David Lindgren will host all the shows for the first time alone.

Melodifestivalen 2018 dates and cities:

  • Semi-final 1 – February 3rd at Löfbergs Arena in Karlstad
  • Semi-final 2 – February 10th at Scandinavium, ESC 1985 venue, in Gothenburg
  • Semi-final 3 – February 17th at Malmö Arena, ESC 2013 venue, in Malmö
  • Semi-final 4 – February 25th at Fjällräven Center in Örnsköldsvik
  • Second Chance round – March 3rd at Kristianstad Arena in Kristianstad
  • Final – March 10th at Friends Arena in Stockholm
