Sweden: Here are the 30 acts competing in Melodifestivalen 2025

SVT, the Swedish broadcaster has revealed the 30 acts that will compete in Melodifestivalen 2025.

After Marcus and Martinus’ 9th place in Eurovision’s final last year, Sweden is looking for their next representative in Switzerland that will wave the country’s flag next May. All the songs and artists competing in 2025 have been presented at SVT’s headquarters earlier in the morning.

Getting to tell you about this year’s competing entries is always just as fun, we want it to feel like an early Christmas present. It will be an exciting, entertaining and hit season in 2025. I am very proud of the line-up, which is a really exciting mix of artists. Being able to present, for example, Linnea Henriksson, SCARLET, Måns Zelmerlöw and Victoria Silvstedt is a good day at work.

The hosts of Melodifestivalen 2025

Kristina “Keyyo” Petrushina and Edvin Törnblom will be the hosts of Melodifestivalen 2025. Although they have not worked with each other before, they have several things in common – including the love for Melodifestivalen.

It has been a big dream since childhood to host Melodifestivalen! I am really looking forward to sharing this amazing journey with Edvin, who like me has a deep love for the competition. We will do our utmost to invite you to a Mello where everyone feels like part of the party. Let’s do this!

Kristina ”Keyyo” Petrushina

It is such an incredible honor to host Melodifestivalen. I love this competition almost more than anything in the whole world so I will take good care of it. I am so looking forward to sharing this crazy journey together with Keyyo, the artists and all Mello lovers!

Edvin Törnblom

Kristina began her career as a comedian on her own YouTube channel and got her own TV series Keyyo & Co on SVT in 2014. After that, TV viewers have been able to see her in programs such as Valfeber, Må underbart with Tiffany Persson, Keyyo and Rheborg in Ryssland, Best in test and Svenska Powerkvinnor. It is also not the first time that Kristina has taken on the role of the host. Together with Carina Berg, she led Barncancergalan (Children’s Cancer Gala) – The Swedish Comedy Award in 2016, Talang Sweden together with Per Lernström in 2017-2018 and Svenska hjältar in 2021, The Journey – 15 days in Nepal in 2022 and can now be seen in Good Luck Guys on Prime Video. The most recent SVT programs that Kristina has hosted are Hotell Romantik, Komiker utan gränders, Kristallen-gala and Detektiverna.

Edvin began his career with television development and radio in P3. After that, he moved to the neighboring house and worked as a presenter on SVT programs such as Häng på and Edvin och Laki hjälper till. Together with Johanna Nordström, he started the podcast Ursäkta in 2020, which is today one of the most listened to podcasts. The podcast has also been awarded as Podcast of the Year by both the Swedish Humor Prize and the Guldörat Radio Prize. In 2022 he led the QX gala with Sissela Kyle, released the book Bögen är lös and went on an arena tour with Ursäkta live. In 2023, he was awarded three prizes at the QX gala, including this year’s LGBT, and did a Sweden tour with Bögen är lös. In the same year, he came in second place as Maneten in Masked Singer Sweden. In the spring of 2024, TV viewers could see Edvin on TV4, as host of Bachelorette and this autumn in the documentary Edvin is loose – the gay man behind the scenes.
