RTVE has just confirmed they will select the song Blas will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest through a national final which will feature 2 songs selected by the singer himself, along with the broadcaster and his record label, Warner Music.
“This year has given me another opportunity. I want to be the voice of the “eurofans”. I want everyone to come with me by the hand and support each other because, in Eurovision, we all go together. The energy of Eurovision in Spain is contagious!”, said Blas.
The audience will choose the song Blas will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest from a televised national final that will be broadcast in February. At the show, the Spanish singer will perform two songs live, as well as some duets with friends and guest artists. Both songs, which are very different from each other, have been selected by the singer himself, RTVE and Warner Music.
“If we want the public to decide, they will actually choose. There won’t be a jury panel. I understand that there will be a lot of debate, whether we want one Blas or another, but they are songs that represent me because I have been part of the composition”, has pointed out. “We are going to present two totally different songs. Two things that I am on stage and I can perfectly defend,” he commented on the songs, which will allow him to show their quality and duality on stage.
The audience will be able to vote for their favourite song either by phone or online through RTVE’s official app. The exact date of the final hasn’t been revealed yet.
Blas is back in the game for Spain after he didn’t manage to reach the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with his song ‘Universo’ because of the pandemic.
