The history of Spain’s Eurovision budget
The budget of the Spanish participation has increased with 11.45% since 2021. The increase in budget is also because the fee to participate has become higher, from 302,697 euro in 2022, up to 347,697 euro for the contest of 2023. This is the highest participation fee since 2012, when they had to pay 316,000 euro.
Spain in the contest of 2023
For this year’s contest Spain decided to come up with an official music video. The costs of the music video of Blanca Paloma’s “Eaea” are 52,156 euro.
The total used budget of Spain in the 2023 contest will be fully disclosed in the weeks after this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
We will see Blanca Paloma perform in the Grand Final on May 13th 2023, because Spain is one Of the Big Five countries, which means that this country does not have to compete in the Semi-finals, and immediately qualifies for the Grand Final.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place on May 9th, 11th, and 13th 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. 37 countries will compete for the crown. This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be a joint venture, since last year’s winner Ukraine cannot organize the contest on home soil because of the ongoing war with Russia.
