Sofia Ivanko to represent Ukraine at Junior Eurovision 2019

UA:PBC has revealed that Sofia Ivanko will represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland. She has been selected internally among other nine finalists by a professional jury panel.

Sofia will perform the song Koli Zdaetsya in Gliwice:

Alyosha: “We have decided that Sofia Ivanko would be the best representative of Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. Why? Because she very much stands out from other participants, she is very special, she has her specific, very expressively emotional character, she is mysterious and there is something about her, not characteristic of other people or other participants. The song needs a little more extra work, and then it will be very cool material, a cool song. I hope that Ukraine’s entry will be highly appreciated not only here, in this room, but also all over the world.”

Sofia has recently taken part at The Voice Kids, where she was coached by the Eurovision 2016 winner Jamala:

The following acts had been shortlisted for the final stage of the Ukrainian national selection:

The winner, as it happened with the finalists, was selected by a professional jury panel made up of  UA:PBC’s Oleksandr Koltsov, Eurovision 2010 representative Alyosha, singers and composers Adam and Tanya Sha, Ukrainian Head of Delegation Oksana Skibinska and UA:PBC’s Head of Entertainment Stanislav Medvedev.

Now, we have our first song for Junior Eurovision 2019. What do you think about it?
