Slovenia: RTVSLO announces running order and final versions for EMA 2018 Grand Final

Slovenia is gearing up for Saturday’s grand final in Ljubljana!

Last Saturday, the Slovenian public broadcaster RTVSLO held the semi-final of its traditional song competition EMA which saw 16 acts competing for one of the 8 available spots in the grand final.

In the end, Lea Sirk; Indigo;  INA SHAI ; BQL; Marina Martensson; Lara Kadis; Proper and Nuška Drašček were the ones who made it to this Saturday’s grand final. Today, the public channel revealed the running order as well as the final versions of all 8 tracks which their respective producers and performers have been working on for the last few weeks.

EMA 2018 – GRAND FINAL RUNNING ORDER

  • Lea Sirk: ‘Hvala, ne!’
  • Indigo: ‘Vesna’
  • INA SHAI: ‘V nebo’ (changes to “Glow”)
  • BQL: ‘Ptica’ (changes to “Promise)
  • Marina Martensson: ‘Blizu’
  • Lara Kadis: ‘Zdaj sem tu’
  • Proper: ‘Ukraden cvet’
  • Nuška Drašček: ‘Ne zapusti me zdaj’

Two of the singers switched their song title and lyrics from Slovenian language to English as they should preview what they would do in Lisbon just in case they were chosen to represent the nation, as it gets to happen from a few years onwards in Iceland.

The winner of EMA 2018 will be selected by a 50/50 mix of public televoting and an expert committee.
