RTVSLO has just announced the name of the 10 candidates that will compete at the next year’s Slovenian national final for Eurovision. EMA 2019 will be made up of a single show in which they will use the selection method of the 2011 and 2015 editions.
The Slovenian broadcaster received 103 applications, but only the following acts will compete in the live final:
- Fed Horses – Ti ne poznaš konzev
- Inmate – Atma
- Kim – Rhythm back to me
- Lumberjack – Lepote DNA
- Okusticni – Metulji plešejo
- Raiven – Kaos
- Renata Mohorič – Three bridges
- René – Ne poveš
- Ula Ložar – Fridays
- Zara Kralj & Gašper Šantl – Oprosti
We can find some familiar faces among the Slovenian finalists, Raiven has already competed at EMA twice and hosted the contest this year. Ula Ložar represented Slovenia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song Nisi Sam / Your Light.

At the final, a three-person jury panel will select the best two acts after the first round of performances. These two participants will face in a super final where the public will choose the winner via televoting.
