Eurovision Eurovision 2014 Spain

Ruth Lorenzo is back in the game with ”Voces”, what is she currently up to?

The 33 year-old singer from Murcia (Spain), Ruth Lorenzo, is back to the music business with new material which looks far from having disappointed. Having already made an impact topping the iTunes charts by reaching #1 in her native Spain today, the release of this new track comes as no surprise as she has been working hard for months on the project that will be no other than the new anthemic-song ”Voces” (Voices) for the charity event ”Por Ellas”, organised by Spanish radio-station ”Cadena 100” in collaboration with the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC). The event will take place at the Barclaycard Centre in Madrid next Saturday, October 22nd.

The artist released the lyric-video for ”Voces”, which you can take a look below. The song has been reviewed by having a positive and optimistic harmony, tune and melody.

Lorenzo is currently on the making of her second album which has been recorded with different producers around Europe and USA. After the Eurovision in Copenhagen she revealed during a press-conference that she would be open to attend the contest again in 2017 after the first debut album got released, she would do some touring around and promo and it looks like she is still true to her words: Ruth revealed a few days ago that a come-back to Eurovision 2017 is not discarded as she considers having a track that would do better than Dancing In The Rain in 2014 (that even made it to the top 9, being Spain’s last top 10 result) but far in style from 2014’s entry named before.

As you are already aware of Ruth skills at writing and composing (she co-wrote her Eurovision entry Dancing In The Rain), she has herself been into the whole creation process of the track as well.

”VOCES” (VOICES) – LYRICS

Tan grandes y tan vivas, nuestras voces.
Tan grandes y tan vivas, nuestras voces.
Voceeees!
VIVE, RIE, SIENTE! SUEÑAA!
SIGUE, LUCHA, AMA! CREAAA!
LLORA, CORRE, CAE!
Tan grandes y tan vivas, nuestras voces.

It is not the first Ruth performed at this event, last year she sang her Eurovision entry, ”Gigantes”and was also on a duet with his fellow friend and singer Xuso Jones, who was the runner-up at the Spanish national selection for Eurovision for Stockholm where they did an interesting version of  John Legend’s ”All Of Me”.

Some other artists will complete the show’s official line-up where we can easily find some recognizable names like: Manuel Carrasco (3rd at 2003 Spanish NF), Sergio Dalma (4th at Eurovision 1991) or Barei, who is the latest entrant for Spain at the contest and performed her hit ”Say Yay”, which did very well on Spotify and iTunes charts, but unfortunately not running that luck at Eurovision.

THE EVENT TICKETS WERE ALREADY ”SOLD-OUT” A FEW WEEKS AGO! All the earnings from the tickets and the song purchase will be donated to AECC, it’s all for a great cause!

Ruth and the rest of the line-up will perform a little set of their respective songs in front of more than 10.000 people, but she will also start touring around Spain and attempting to beat a Guiness World Record which consists on having gigged around eight different cities around Spain in 12 hours.

Will she manage to get it? Will she be finally doing Eurovision? Ruth is certainly enjoying massive success and we are proud to be bringing you the story!

Stay tuned!
