Portugal: Running order for Festival da Canção 2017 revealed

RTP have revealed today the running order for the semi-finals of Festival da Canção 2017. A special draw, which has taken place today, have decided in which semi-final each composer will see their song performed by an artist up to their choice. The selected singers will be announced as for tomorrow.

Semifinal 1:

  6. Pedro Saraiva
  7. Luísa Sobral
  8. Nuno Gonçalves

Semifinal 2:

  1. Tóli César Machado
  2. Pedro Silva Martins
  3. Jorge Fernando
  4. João Pedro Coimbra
  5. João Só
  6. Celina da Piedade
  7. Nuno Figueiredo
  8. Noiserv

Festival da Canção 2017 will be made up of three shows, two semi-finals on February 19 and 26, and a national final from which the Portuguese entry for Eurovision will be decided. The final of Festival da Canção 2017 is set to take place on March 5.

The winner will be selected by a 50-50 mix of regional judges and public vote with 8 songs being performed at the national final, 4 from each semi-final. This year, the songs are allowed to be performed in Portuguese or any other language, including English. Will we see the first Portuguese song performed in English in Kyiv?
