RTP has just held the national final show that has selected the Portuguese representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Mariana Venâncio has got the ticket to Tbilisi and will perform the song ‘Youtuber’ composed by João Cabrita, on November 26.
During the show, all five finalists performed a song of their own choice and ‘Youtuber’, the song selected by RTP for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The following singers competed at the Portuguese final:
- Filipa Ferreira (11 years)
- Matilde Leite (14 years)
- Margarida Lima (12 years)
- Duarte Valença (10 years)
- Mariana Venâncio (10 years)
The winner of ‘Juniores de Portugal’ was decided by a mix of a professional jury panel and televoting, which had been open since last Friday. The show was broadcast live from RTP Studios in Porto.
