Portugal has confirmed participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The winning country of Eurovision 2017 joins the line-up for this year’s competition that will be held on November 26 in Tbilisi (Georgia).
This will be the third participation of Portugal at Junior Eurovision as they already took part twice, back in 2006 and 2007. Portugal’s best result at Junior Eurovision came in 2006, when Pedro Madeira achieved a 14th place in Bucharest. A year later, Jorge Leiria represented his country with the song So Quero E Cantar, he came 16th.
