Portugal: Festival Da Canção continues with Second Semi-Final tonight

Portugal is gearing up to choose their next Eurovision representative after their one-year break in Stockholm. Tonight, the remaining eight songs in competition for the title to represent the country at year’s Eurovision Song Contest will fight to get one of the four available remaining spots in the grand final which will take place next Sunday live from Coliseo Dos Recreios in Lisbon.

The acts competing tonight are:

  • David Gomes – “My paradise”
  • Lena d’Água – “Nunca me fui emborada”
  • Beatriz Felicio – “Ao teo olhar”
  • Pedro Gonçalvez – “Don’t walk away”
  • Helena Kendall – “Andamos no céu”
  • Celina da Piedade – “Primavera”
  • Jorge Benvinda – “Gente bestial”
  • Inês Sousa – “Se o tempo nao falasse”

The four qualifiers will be decided by equally combining the votes from the Portuguese audience and the music professionals expert panel in the studio. They will join the first four acts chosen after last week’s show, who are:

  • Fernando Daniel,
  • Deolinda Kinzimba,
  • Salvador Sobral
  • Viva la Diva
